We are seeking to appoint a Student Appeals, Complaints and Discipline Manager who will have responsibility for the following procedures:

  • Student complaints in the University
  • Liaison with the Office of the Independent Adjudicator
  • Student discipline
  • Fitness to Practice cases for professional courses
  • Appeal hearings
  • Prevent 

The successful applicant will line manage the Student Complaints and Investigations Officer, Student Complaints Officer, and the Student Appeals and Academic Misconduct Officer. The appointee will be responsible for providing operational support across a number of processes and will provide professional advice to staff and students.

The successful applicant will ensure that the University complies with its own processes, develop policies and procedures and implement best practice.

You will have:

  • Experience of working in a complaints/customer service/legal background.
  • Experience of writing minutes and reports
  • Experience of drafting policies and procedures
  • Excellent analytical and evaluative skills
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
