Job Summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a motivated and experienced Programme Manager to join the management team a new partnership programme between Imperial College London and a consortium of industrial partners. Based at the Research and Innovation campus in White City, you will have a broad range of responsibilities, working closely with the Directors and industrial partners, to provide efficient and effective logistic support to ensure the smooth running of the Programme.
Duties and responsibilities
You will be responsible for the day-to-day administrative tasks required for the smooth-running of the Programme. This will include managing, monitoring and analysing budgets and accounts from different sources and financial procedures, to ensure compliance with sponsors’ terms and conditions. You will be expected to prepare interim financial reports for the Management Team and to provide ad hoc financial information to aid strategic decision making.
You will act as a contact point for the all programme-related events and enquiry. You will assist in the organisation of events, including scientific meetings on- and off-site. You will also be expected to provide administrative support to the academic-industrial liaison officer appointed by the Strategic Advisory Board, including the management of contracts.
You will work closely with the Management team, to build, maintain and utilise a network of internal and external contacts, in order to support the expand the Consortium. This will include creation, maintenance and management of an up-to-date website and active social-network platforms for communication.
Essential requirements
You will have experience working in a scientific role/field (preferably within Higher Education). Substantial experience in monitoring and managing budgets is essential. You will have experience with event organisation, including technical workshops as well as stakeholder meetings. A high level of accuracy, consistent attention to detail and excellent organisational and communication skills are required. You will have a proven ability to work under pressure and be proactive at resolving issues related to administrative procedures.

The College is currently trialling a Work Location Framework until early 2023. Hybrid working may be considered for this role and the role holder may be expected to work 60% or more of their time onsite, with 40% the minimum time spent onsite. The opportunity for hybrid working will be discussed at interview.
