The post will be located in the Centre for Research in Ethnic Minority Entrepreneurship (CREME). CREME is the leading Centre of its kind; it is committed to the production and promotion of knowledge that is useful to academic and practitioner communities. CREME is a leading contributor to academic and policy debates on ethnic minority entrepreneurship. It is at the forefront of new developments in the field, many of which have been instrumental in stimulating practitioner activities. We are a dynamic, award-winning research centre headed up by Professor Monder Ram OBE DL and have successfully built up an enviable reputation regionally, nationally, and internationally for our pioneering research and business engagement activities, promoting diversity and enterprise.
Reporting to the Centre Manager the successful candidate will support the Centre’s various marketing activities through; assisting with social media management, coordinating online social campaigns to promote research projects and publications. We’re looking for a creative individual who can contribute to digital content creation, write engaging copy and communications, and assist the Centre Manager in the organising, and managing of Centre events (online, in person or hybrid events). The role holder will also be in close communication with CREME’s practitioner partners and stakeholders playing a vital role in disseminating partner updates, success stories and promoting our numerous collaborations and partnerships through various forms of media and marketing channels.
The candidate should be educated to a bachelor’s degree level or have relevant marketing experience. The ideal candidate should be social media savvy and have experience of managing Twitter and LinkedIn social media platforms, experience of writing communications for different audiences and creating engaging digital content. The candidate should have a proactive manner, excellent organisational skills, and the ability to build relationships with a wide range of stakeholders. This post is part time for 3 days a week designed to support the marketing needs of the Centre, flexibility of days worked may be required on occasion dependent on the Centre’s commitments.
