An opportunity has arisen for an experienced Clinical Research Nurse to take on the role of Senior Research Nurse for the Clinical Research Unit (CRU) at the Oxford Centre for Diabetes, Endocrinology and Metabolism (OCDEM), Churchill Hospital, Oxford.
The Clinical Research Unit (CRU) is the hub of activity for translational research supported by the NIHR Biomedical Research Centre and its Theme on Experimental Metabolic Research with clinical studies taking place in the unit encompassing a wide spectrum of research areas across diabetes, endocrinology and human metabolism.
We are looking to recruit a highly experienced Senior Nurse who will manage the day-to-day clinical research activity in the CRU, develop and monitor clinical standards, provide visible clinical leadership, line manage the staff in the CRU and provide support for the research team as well as having direct hands-on involvement in a number of research studies.
The successful candidate will be an experienced clinical research nurse, able to demonstrate considerable clinical experience and a clear interest in the research process.
The hours of work are 37.5 hours per week but part-time (minimum of 0.75 FTE) would be considered. Flexibility around the working hours per week can be considered. This post is a fixed term post for 5 years in the first instance, with a possibility of extension.
