About the Role
We are looking to recruit a full-time Research Fellow to join our two-year ESRC-funded project, The School Meals Service: Past, Present - and Future? which is a joint project with researchers from the University of Sheffield and the University of Wolverhampton. The UCL IOE- based Research Associate will focus on supporting research, impact and engagement activities relating to Strand 1 of the project led by Professor Gary McCulloch.
This is a full time post (36.5 hours per week) and is initially funded until 15/01/2025.

About you
We are looking for someone with a strong background in history or history of education, ideally experience of working with archival methods, with oral history experience an additional advantage, and an ability to support and produce high quality, impactful research individually and as part of a team. This is a high-impact project with a strong social justice and community engagement agenda which are key to the aims of the UCL-IOE.
A doctorate in history of education or in a cognate discipline in the social sciences or humanities is essential for this post. You will have experience in Project data collection and storage, and have academic writing experience with previous publications, blogs, reports will be an advantage. In addition, the postholder will have an ability to understand and relate to relevant historical, social and educational issues, and to write a range of specifications on time.
