Student Support Manager
Hours of work: Full-time (35 hours a week)

Salary: The starting salary will be from £36,333 up to £43,155 per annum in Grade 7, depending on qualifications and experience
We are seeking to recruit an experienced professional to manage our recently expanded Student Support service. The successful candidate will manage five members of staff who provide pastoral support to our students between 9am and 5am seven days a week (12pm-5am on weekends). Whilst the successful candidate will not be expected to work overnight shifts, they will be responsible for the management of the staff who do provide this service and there will be some expectation of on call advice to these staff and a regular working pattern that extends into an evening shift at least once a week to support evening staff.
The successful candidate will demonstrate excellent interpersonal, communication and administrative skills. They will be used to working with a variety of issues and have a strong appreciation of student culture and the Higher Education landscape. It is important that the postholder is a positive and committed team player, with an aptitude for leadership and the ability to work under reasonable pressure. Knowledge of and confidence with IT systems is also an essential requirement of the role.
