We have an exciting opportunity in the Department of Global Engagement for an experienced and self-motivated individual to head up the Sheffield Confucius Institute (SCI) in their delivery of a programme of activities and courses designed to give staff, students and the wider community an insight into Chinese language and culture. You will also be part of the Global Engagement team supporting the coordination of our internationalisation strategy university-wide.
This post reports directly to the Director of Global Engagement. You will have ownership of all SCI activities (and associated budget) and responsibility for around 10 core staff and up to 20 part-time teachers. Alongside strategic oversight of core SCI activity the role also offers an opportunity for you to provide innovative approaches to new product development, within a multi-cultural team that values your inclusive and motivating leadership.
