The Widening Access Team at the University of Bath is seeking a committed, flexible and hardworking individual for the role of Data and Evaluation Officer.
About the role:
Supporting the Widening Access team and the wider University, you will be analysing student data to provide into access and participation trends across the University. You will also work closely with the APP Evaluation Manager to support staff from across the University with advice and guidance around evaluation plans, methodologies and reporting.
A key member of the APP Impact team, working alongside the APP Impact Manager, you will use these insights to monitor progress towards our APP targets.
You will then report on these insights and trends, ideally using packages such as PowerBi, to build compelling and engaging data visualisations. You’ll work with the APP Impact Manager and the Head of Widening Access and Participation to share the data with others across the University.

The Widening Access Team is part of Student Recruitment and Admissions at the University. The team is responsible for engaging and supporting students from under-represented students to progress to university particularly to Bath to achieve goals set out in the University's Access and Participation Plan.
The team is well established and passionate about supporting students and are a fairly informal group. Due to the nature of the work there is flexibility with working times, much of the work is structured around the school day so many events happen in the afternoons, evenings or weekends.
The work the team delivers is varied and ranges from in school and online activity to campus based events as well as sustained programmes for groups of students. The team works a lot with third sector organisations to be able to support as many students as possible.
This is a permanent, full-time position working 36.5 hours per week.
