A fantastic new opportunity has arisen for a Deputy Head of Operations to join the University’s Research & Innovation Services.
The University of Glasgow has embarked on an exciting and ambitious £1Bn redevelopment programme that is one of the largest education infrastructure projects in Scotland’s history.
The new £116M Advanced Research Centre (ARC) is a hub for research collaboration at UofG and will be pivotal to the delivery of the University’s Research Strategy. The ARC aims to create a vibrant research community, encouraging collaboration with internal and external partners in new ways and across disciplines, championing an inclusive research culture that recognizes all research contributions and supports careers.
The Deputy Head of Operations role will provide senior management support to the Head of Operations on a wide and diverse range of general operations within the Advanced Research Centre. The postholder will have managerial responsibility across three operational areas: Administration, Events and Technical operations. In addition, the postholder will be responsible for managing a significant project portfolio consisting of technical and non-technical projects within the ARC to ensure delivery of the institutional research strategy.
This is a key role in the delivery of the ARC Operations portfolio, one of five portfolios within the UofG Research Services directorate.
