About the Role
The Department of Law is looking to appoint a Lecturer or Senior Lecturer (Teaching & Scholarship). We are particularly looking for candidates with specialisms in one or more of the following: Property Law (particularly Equity & Trusts), Criminal Law, Contract Law and/or Housing Law.
About You
You will have a PhD in Law, or equivalent professional experience and/or relevant professional qualification, and a demonstrable ability to teach at undergraduate level. Ideally you will have teaching accreditation from the Higher Education Academy at Fellow or Associate Fellow level, or be working towards this. For Senior Lecturer level you will need substantial teaching experience.

The School of Law is one of eight schools in the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences and has two organisational units: the Department of Law and the Centre for Commercial Law Studies (CCLS). Established in 1965, the Department of Law runs thriving undergraduate and postgraduate programmes and has a well-established international reputation for innovative research.

The post is based at the Mile End Campus in London. It is full time, permanent appointment, with an expected start date of September 2023. The starting salary will be Grade 5 to 6, £45,931 - £56,921 per annum (Lecturer), or Grade 7, £60,128 - £67,139 (Senior Lecturer), inclusive of London Allowance.
