We are seeking to appoint a Lecturer in the area of Operations and Supply Chain Management to support existing and new programmes as well as advance understanding in key areas of sustainable operations management such as Food Supply Chain, Energy Value Chain, Logistics, Big Data Analytics, and Business Intelligence. Teaching duties will include contributing effectively to the MBA Digital Innovation Management, MSc in Global Supply Chain Management, as well as to the other undergraduate, and PhD programmes.
We are looking for a highly motivated individual who can make a significant contribution to the implementation of our research, teaching and learning strategy. Applicants with advanced research methods including (for instance, parametric and/or non-parametric data analytics that handles Big Data and/or applies Artificial Intelligence techniques) will be particularly welcomed but not mandatory. The successful applicant will also be expected to participate in at least one of the College research centres, Entrepreneurship and Sustainability and Global Lives, or a University Research Institute.
The successful applicant will hold (or near to complete) a Doctorate in Operations Management, Operations Research, Management Information Systems, Industrial Engineering, or relevant areas. They should also have potential to make journal publications in ABS 3-star and 4-star journals and preferably have experience in teaching Operations Management, Supply Chain Management, Business Analytics, Project Management, or related business subjects to a high standard. You should be able to demonstrate effective and innovative teaching practice at undergraduate and postgraduate levels. The successful applicant should also have potential to lead programme management and development, dealing effectively with quality assurance and compliance processes.
