It is anticipated that a hybrid working pattern can be adopted for this role, where the successful candidate can work from home and the office. However, as this role is contractually aligned to our Milton Keynes office it is expected that some attendance in the office will be required when necessary and in response to business needs. We would expect this to be approximately two to four times per month.
The role
This is an exciting, fixed term, opportunity to work in a busy, operational environment as a Manager in the Qualifications Centre within Assessment, Credit and Qualifications (ACQ). The Centre is situated at the University’s East Campus in Milton Keynes in the Joe Clinch building, and staff work in a hybrid of on site and remote working.
The Centre has 10 Qualification Advisers and is responsible for the maintenance and operation of the systems that identify students completing all taught OU qualifications. It has a busy advice and guidance service dealing with over 40,000 enquirer contacts each year, from students and internal stakeholders.
