The Royal Agricultural University “RAU” has been at the forefront of agricultural education for over 175 years and is globally renowned for its links with industry and courses that are designed to meet the demands of the changing land-based sector.
Rare opportunity to be responsible for the management of the University’s academic operations, with oversight of academic workforce/workload model planning, to support the RAU’s strategic direction. You will develop an agile and resilient student-focused academic operations service, aligned with the University’s core learning and teaching activity. Based within the Institutional Planning and Governance Directorate, you will work in partnership with colleagues across the University to support the delivery of key student learning and teaching streams, contributing to the development of service excellence. It will be important for you to develop robust and agile business processes which support staff and students. You will be working across senior stakeholders and closely with the Pro-Vice Chancellor, Academic Planning & Resources and Director of Institutional Planning and Policy.
Applications are strongly encouraged from diverse backgrounds and experiences, with priority given to those from commercial, educational, or private-sector experience in planning, operations, and senior administration backgrounds. The willingness to learn on the job, develop strong networks, and deal with some level of ambiguity is essential. Key is to build and establish optimized processes and operating procedures to ensure efficient delivery. Experience working in similar complex environments is highly desirable.
