The postholder will be expected to lead a Marketing, Recruitment and International team within the Faculty of Medicine, Health and Life Science to recruit and select students across all markets, UG, PG and International to meet business planning targets. They will provide advice, information and support to leaders in the faculty and will play a key role in the MRI Directorate to deliver University strategic initiatives.

In collaboration with the NHS, business and the third sector in a spirit of open innovation it has established itself as a world-class place to learn, research and innovate.
The Faculty has a diverse portfolio of UG & PG programmes with a large number of Commissioned Programmes that support students to progress directly into NHS careers. The Faculty’s admissions and selection team supports the recruitment and onboarding of such commissioned students. The faculty has recently implemented a Widening Participation/Access Strategy as outlined by the commissioning body HEIW, the postholder is closely linked to Recruitment and Selection workstreams associated with recommissioning/tendering for new commissioned programmes.
The Faculty has a vibrant research community which attracts prestigious research funding and exciting PhD students. 85% of faculty research has been rated as world-leading or internationally excellent overall in the latest Research Excellence Framework (REF2021). Promoting the Faculty’s research and E&I activity is a key part of this role.
The postholder will report to the Associate Director of MRI, Marketing and UK Student Recruitment; and will have a dotted reporting line to the Faculty Head of Operations and Head of Faculty. They will also work closely with the Associate Deans responsible for Education, Research, Enterprise and Innovation and Internationalisation.
We are looking to appoint a highly motivated individual who has experience of working at a strategic level in marketing, ideally in a HE or NHS environment with a track record of delivering successful strategic and operational initiatives. The postholder will be a senior leader within MRI and the faculty and will possess leadership and interpersonal skills to motivate staff to deliver high standards of professional service.
