We have an exciting opportunity for a Clinical University Lecturer in Primary Care Dentistry/Honorary Specialty Dentist to help deliver teaching in Clinical Dentistry, including the development of innovative approaches to clinical training and educational scholarship.
The University of Glasgow’s Dental School is the second largest in the UK and the largest in Scotland. It is consistently ranked amongst the top Dental Schools in the UK, achieving 1st place in the Times & Sunday Times Good University Guide, and 1st in the UK Guardian University Guide [Dentistry] for 2023.
The Dental School is dedicated to the delivery of world-leading, student-centred learning and teaching which embraces modern approaches to education. Our commitment to progress in Dental Education has resulted in the formation of a unique Community in Dental Educational Research and Scholarship Group, which consistently contributes to the international community and leads on academic output in this field. We provide an advanced and collaborative curriculum, which recognises, respects, and fully supports individuals, aiming to allow each individual to flourish and become a world changer.
We deliver postgraduate research opportunities and, in addition, taught postgraduate programmes in a range of subjects, and we benefit from comprehensive modern facilities for patient care, student clinical practice and training, and education and research. The Dental School hosts two internationally recognised research groups in Oral Sciences and Community Oral Health, who collaborate with international research partners. The Dental School also houses an active Clinical Research Facility in partnership with NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde.
We welcome applications from dentists who are on the General Dental Council (GDC) register and who hold an MFDS from one of the Surgical Royal Colleges, or equivalent.
