The Hull York Medical School is a different kind of Medical School. The joint medical school of the Universities of Hull and York, we have a reputation as one of the UK’s most exciting, contemporary schools. Our innovative curriculum and focus on problem-based learning and early and sustained clinical exposure ensures that students on our MB BS programme develop the problem solving, analytical and communication skills and resilience needed to deliver a high standard of care to people with complex needs and from a variety of backgrounds. We have an ambitious strategy for growth and diversification of our research and educational programmes, and are investing in public health as an area in which we can have impact.
The purpose of this role is to support teaching, learning and assessment across the School, and to develop research in the areas of nutrition (or nutrition related subjects (e.g. human growth and development/anthropology)) and quantitative evaluation methods. You will have experience of delivering research to a high standard, bringing specialised knowledge in their subject area, and the ability to support funding activities, deliver research leadership and contribute to the strategic development of research. We are particularly looking for candidates with expertise in experimental design and research methods, public health solutions to nutrition and food challenges, and skills in data management, analysis, coding and analysis.
