Duties of the Role
The post holder will be responsible for applying the University’s Student Debt Policy and debt collection procedures in relation to debt recovery, by undertaking credit control activities of specific categories of customers to maximise income collection, and to reduce and maintain aged debt to a minimal value.
This will include assessing customer financial circumstances with a view to negotiating payment plans and monitoring payment plan arrangements, accurately record notes on all customer contact associated with debt collection and recommending further action to the Income Manager through outside debt collection agencies or County Court where all previous recovery efforts have failed to resolve the outstanding debt.
A full list of duties and responsibilities can be found within the job pack.
