Aston Business School, located in the heart of Birmingham - England’s second largest city - seeks to appoint a highly motivated, ambitious academic with the ability and interest in providing excellence in research, teaching and impact in the field of Entrepreneurship.
We are one of the leading providers of the entrepreneurship education and research in the UK. Aston Business School is home of the Global Entrepreneurship Monitor UK project (jointly with Strathclyde), which is the key source of data for entrepreneurship research and informing government policies. We also invest heavily in data, such as ORBIS that can be used for research on new firms and small business, and if you have a background in quantitative analysis your work will complement the department’s faculty. Colleagues in the Department of Economics, Finance and Entrepreneurship have a strong track record of publishing in and acting as editors for top entrepreneurship journals. They also attract significant research funding for entrepreneurship-related project, the latest being the UK-wide Panel Study of Entrepreneurship Dynamics. We run a very successful MSc programme in Entrepreneurship, and have PhD and DBA students working on entrepreneurship.
We host a number of research centres which you will be able to become a member of:
The Centre for Business Prosperity
The Centre for Research in Ethnic Minority Entrepreneurship (CREME)
