About the role
We have an exciting opportunity for a Research professional to join us in a fixed-term appointment until 31 August 2023, to assist us with setting the foundations for our UK-Ukraine twinned research in aerospace, biomedical engineering, artificial intelligence. This will involve shaping and co-drafting research projects and research proposals with the project participants; taking ownership and delivering a five-year twinned research roadmap to The University of Leicester (UoL), UK, the Kremenchuk Mykhailo Ostrohradskyi National University (KrNU), and Research England.
This exciting and multi-disciplinary research coordination role will enable you to make a long-lasting impact on UK-Ukraine scientific collaboration, to preserve and develop human capital mobility during and beyond the current crisis, and promote the efficient use of UoL and KrNU research infrastructure.
About you
You will be holding a PhD in aerospace or biomedical engineering or artificial intelligence, or have submitted your PhD thesis and awaiting your viva, or have equivalent experience. You will have substantial experience in international multi-disciplinary research, a track record of effective network-building, and experience in organising seminars and workshops. You will have excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, and excellent ability to synthesise concepts into novel research ideas, to properly support the generation of a portfolio of integrated research (a five-year integrated twinned research). It would be desirable if you could support the project with Ukrainian and Russian language skills.
