We are currently seeking a talented and motivated Data and Systems Support Specialist to join our Data Ops Team. In this role, you will be responsible for supporting the day-to-day operations of program teams by ensuring the smooth functioning of data systems and providing technical support to users. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background and a passion for solving complex problems. You will have the opportunity to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, supporting multiple teams across the organization. If you have a passion for data and systems support, and thrive in a collaborative environment, we encourage you to apply for this exciting opportunity.
As a member of the Data Ops Team, you will work alongside a diverse group of professionals who are passionate about data-driven insights and improving operational efficiency. You will have the opportunity to collaborate with cross-functional teams, including data developers, data analysts, and contribute to the success of WBS.
You’ll be expected to be flexible in working across different areas of the School and be able to master new areas of knowledge and operations quickly. You’ll be inquisitive, restless, with a problem-solving approach to issues encountered. Reporting into a Data and Systems Analyst, you’ll work closely with key stakeholders to understand their data and systems needs as well as anticipating changes that might need to take place to align with projects, changes to policy, and regulatory shifts.
You’ll be responsible for ensuring the creation and maintenance of high-quality data to ensure effective operations. You’ll do this by understanding your stakeholders’ needs, designing queries, extracting and presenting data, and undertaking key data related tasks. In order to achieve these goals you’ll anticipate needs and requirements in advance, identifying challenges in implementation, and escalating as necessary. You’ll also support wider upskilling of staff within the School by sharing your knowledge to undertake training on how to extract data, utilise the School’s my.wbs platform, and other software packages to ensure widespread utilisation.
You’ll recognise the importance of recording your approach to your work, including producing and maintaining documentation for data and systems related processes in your functional area to enable business continuity across the team.
Interview Date: 03 & 04 May 2023.
