SportBU are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced coordinator to join its growing Student Sport team. The postholder will support the Programme Manager (Performance Sport) with the coordination and administration of the Performance Sport Programme (circa. 60 teams and 900 athletes). They will engage in a wide range of administration tasks across the Student Sport team to ensure a smooth and efficient service is provided. Through effective organisation, deployment of resource and support for captains this role assists in the success of the performance programme and helps to maintain BU within the top 30 national league table.
This role is instrumental in developing a full player pathway through Student Sport through associated tasks. The role will be the first point of contact for BU teams and other institutions competing in the British Universities and Colleges Sport leagues and competitions. An aspect of this post will also include supporting the delivery of our TeamBU Juniors programme during school holidays.
This position does not meet the eligibility requirements for sponsorship under the Skilled Worker Route within the UK Visa and Immigration service’s Points Based System. Therefore, BU will not be able to sponsor individuals who require permission to work to carry out this position.
This position is offered on a fixed-term basis until 12 April 2024 to cover the secondment of an established member of staff.
