Applications for a Research Associate are welcome, for an outstanding and ambitious materials physicist or Chemical Engineer to undertake research in the field of 2D materials-based membranes. The post is tenable from 1 July 2023 for up to 18 months. You will join a vibrant team of researchers who have been at the forefront of graphene research since its discovery in 2004. Using our state-of-the-art laboratory, measurement, and microfabrication facilities you will drive forward a new project to investigate mass transport and separation properties of 2D materials-based membranes and capillaries.
You will hold, or be about to obtain, a PhD in Materials Physics/Chemical Engineering or a closely related field. Experience in graphene and related materials synthesis and characterisation, membrane science and technology would be advantageous. You should be well-organised and self-motivated, with excellent communication skills. A strong publication record in internationally peer-reviewed journals is also essential.
