An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Associate Lecturer (Education Focused) in Inorganic Chemistry to join the dynamic teaching and research environment in the School of Chemistry. The post is available for a fixed-term period of 12 months from 1 July 2023.
The School of Chemistry at the University of St Andrews comprises around 40 Academic staff, about 140 PhD students and 60 PDRAs. Our undergraduate courses are delivered across five years up to MChem level. In addition, the School runs postgraduate taught degrees (MSc Chemical Sciences and MSc Catalysis).
We welcome applications from outstanding candidates who have developed an interest and expertise in undergraduate teaching. The position will have a focus on Inorganic Chemistry and the successful applicant will have an aptitude for teaching across all aspects of our undergraduate curriculum. A PhD in an appropriate area of Chemistry is essential, and you will already have experience teaching at university level.
