We are seeking a Senior IT/AV Support Officer, to provide technical support in the delivery of a responsive, customer focused IT and AV support service in the School of History.
You will be responsible for the 1st and 2nd line support of a wide range of end-user technologies, audiovisual equipment, applications and corporate systems as well as providing technical support for internal and external events and specialist teaching and research facilities.
This will include the management of various operating systems, installation of standardised and bespoke operating and audio-visual system builds, ongoing maintenance and fault finding, providing technical support for incidents and problems.
Reporting to the IT Service Desk Supervisor, key tasks include:
With an HNC or HND level in Information Technology, Audio Visual or related subject, you will have the necessary technical knowledge, understanding and communication and interpersonal skills to provide advice and support to internal customers on the required technologies.
Experience delivering support in an IT/AV environment will be essential, together with first rate customer focus and initiative and good planning, organisational, analytical, and problem-solving skills. Experience of working within a Higher Education environment will be an advantage.
