This post represents an exciting opportunity for an ambitious individual to join Information and Digital Services (IDS). IDS brings together Library Services and IT Services at Keele University. We use digital solutions to solve business wide challenges, improve processes, and create efficiencies. We develop and deliver services to enable our Education and Research, and improve the student and staff experience. As the UX Lead you will help us create excellent services and improve our UX maturity.
You will work within our Innovation function and will be central to ensuring we design and deliver increasingly user-centred services for students and staff. From discovery and definition to development and delivery, this role plays a crucial part ensuring we are building the right things and building the things right.
You will be responsible for working closely with the business, students and staff, to understand user needs, lead workshops and gather business intelligence to help inform and shape product roadmaps. Working to the Head of Innovation you will lead the creation of prototypes and visual designs that are production-ready and will work closely with the application and development teams who require high quality, tested and well documented UI design.
You will have demonstrable UI and UX design experience, excellent communication skills both written and verbally, and a strong knowledge of producing service design outputs.
