An opportunity has arisen for two individuals to join Research and Innovation (R&I) as Research Grant Administrators. The post holders will provide a comprehensive financial management service on a personal portfolio of grants, some of which will be of a complex nature and/or of a high value. They will ensure that University and Funding Body terms and conditions are adhered to, that income is claimed accurately and timeously and that financial reports are provided as and when required. Applicants should have a sound financial background and possess excellent communication and IT skills. Applicants must have the ability to plan and organize a varied workload to ensure that all deadlines are met and operate effectively within a busy team environment. The appointees will be line managed by the Research Administration Manager.
R&I is part of the University’s Professional Services. R&I have a team of specialists who support the University’s researchers to support our research and knowledge exchange activities and to promote our engagement with industry. These posts are based within the Research Finance section of R&I, which provides costing and technical support for research applications as well as post-award management.
Salary will be at the appropriate point on the Grade 4 scale (£25,742 - £29,605 per annum), with placement according to qualifications and experience.
