The Role
This is an exciting opportunity to lead the development of new postgraduate level training in Applied Trade Policy, at the University of Sussex, as part of the work of the ESRC-funded Centre for Inclusive Trade Policy (CITP). This is a unique and exciting role, working in collaboration with academic colleagues, to create a new programme which has no precedent in the UK Higher Education sector.
Working closely with colleagues and the large team of trade focused academics, and joining the high-ranking Department of Economics, you will have responsibility for the coordination of the design, development and production of teaching and learning materials suitable for training at the postgraduate level. The objective is to initially support in the development of a one-year modular programme, with the aim of this subsequently becoming a university-validated PG Diploma in Trade Policy. There may also be scope for the development of shorter, Executive Education-style courses on trade policy. Whilst some materials already exist or will be provided by colleagues, you will also have responsibility for the development and writing of a range of the course materials.
The successful candidate will have a strong background in trade, and trade policy, experience teaching at the postgraduate level and an active interest in course design and online delivery.
