An exciting opportunity has arisen to deliver education and training within the School of Pharmacy at the University of Huddersfield. We are a successful department offering excellent teaching and research facilities and are seeking to appoint an experienced clinical and prescribing practitioner with a record of supporting education, training and professional development of the healthcare workforce to join the Pharmacy Department in the University of Huddersfield.
This post will suit both the experienced academic clinical practitioner (Senior Practitioner) or registered independent prescriber from any healthcare profession (Practitioner).
With a Master’s Degree including MPharm or MSc in Clinical skills, MSc Advanced clinical practice or other post-graduate qualification in an appropriately related subject, you will be involved in organising and delivering teaching and simulation for students on post-graduate prescribing and undergraduate pharmacy programmes and require the clinical experience to inform and inspire trainees to become excellent practitioners. You will also take part in assessment and feedback on students’ clinical skills.
The Pharmacy Department is a great place to work with a supportive and collegiate environment and excellent research facilities. We are proud to hold a Silver Athena SWAN award, recognising our advancement in gender equality.
The prescribing team are proud to offer a professionally inclusive course with a vision to support the changing/advancing roles of pharmacists. The team have a strong working relationship with the school of Human and Health Sciences and foster a collaborative relationship that recognises the multi-professional prescribing workforce. You will contribute to the development and delivery of undergraduate and post-graduate programmes. It is expected that this post will focus on prescribing and clinical skills for pharmacists.
The University is deeply committed to equality and diversity for all its students and staff. We seek to be diverse and inclusive, supporting individuals and groups to fulfil their potential and nurture a sense of belonging. We strive to be an accessible, inclusive employer, removing barriers for all. Find out more about our approach to Equality, Diversity and Inclusion, including our commitments and accreditations as a Disability Confident Employer, Stonewall Top 100 Employer, Athena SWAN Bronze Award holder and our membership of the Race Equality Charter.
