We are seeking an excellent postdoctoral researcher to co-lead a 3-year research project with Professor Jonathan Lee, funded by the ESRC. The project aims to study the modulation of reminded emotional declarative memories in human participants (see https://gtr.ukri.org/projects?ref=ES%2FY001885%2F1). This is an exciting opportunity for a researcher to join the School of Psychology at the University of Birmingham. Research in the School spans neuroscience, mental health, neurodiversity and development across the lifespan. Researchers in Prof Lee’s lab are encouraged to develop their independent projects and capitalise on the interdisciplinary culture in the School.
The successful candidate will be resourceful with the ability to act on their own initiative, and will be afforded the independence to work in the manner that suits them best. Their will have excellent quantitative skills including programming (e.g., PsychoPy, Python, R) for the design and analysis of experiments. Experience in behavioural testing, both in person and via online platforms, is preferable.
