This role will be based on the university campus, with scope for it to be undertaken in a hybrid manner. We are also open to discussing flexible working arrangements.
The University of Leeds is one of the top 135 universities in the world, with a truly global community. Established in 1904, we have a strong tradition of academic excellence, reflected in first-class student education, along with world-leading research that has a real impact around the globe.
The Head of Design and Continuous Improvement is an exciting leadership role reporting to the University’s Director of the Transformation Office with a university-wide remit for design and continuous improvement. Based in the Transformation Office but working in close collaboration with leaders and colleagues across the University you will play a major role in developing our institutional culture by embedding a positive approach to improving service design, processes and continuous improvement and influencing how it is managed and implemented across the organisation.
This is a new role and you will have the opportunity to shape it as part of our implementation of a Design Office, which will provide services to the university with the aim of improving how our processes are designed and improved from the outset to ensure deliverability confidence.
You will respond to both system demand and driving planned delivery, and will use practice, theory, and research to support individual, team, departmental and whole system organisation improvements.
