About the Role
This research post will be for a fixed-term duration of 1 year. The post holder will be for (i) leading the project to develop and refine ML/artificial intelligence (AI) algorithms using electrocardiogram (ECG) data for cardiovascular disease prediction; (ii) building ECG preprocessing and quality control pipelines and (iii) retrieval and maintenance of ECG and/or cardiac imaging databases.
You will have a PhD in data science (e.g. computing, AI, biomedical engineering, signal processing) or a related domain. Excellent programming skills using generic platforms (e.g., Linux, Python, R, MATLAB) and prior experience in working with ECG data is a must. Significant experience in AI research with peer-reviewed publications and experience working with imaging are a plus.

The William Harvey Research Institute is a world-leading institute for research devoted to therapeutic innovation in cardiovascular diseases. The main focus of the Centre for Advanced Cardiovascular Imaging is to apply statistical, multi-omics and machine-learning approaches to national-scale imaging studies.
