THE ROLE

As part of our Digital Team, reporting to the Lead Content Designer, you’ll be working alongside one other Content Designer on the development of user-focused website content and a range of content projects across our University website.

Our content work is broadly divided between two core areas and associated teams: content development (the focus of our Content Designer roles) and content maintenance (managed by our Content Editors). The two teams work closely together to ensure that content is managed optimally across the stages of its lifecycle.

You’ll collaborate with our UX designers, Web Analyst and others in the team to ensure that content development is underpinned by user research and content performance is consistently tracked to understand ROI and areas for improvement.

To succeed in this role, you’ll need experience in user-centred design practice in the context of content development, as well as experience in working on successful content projects.

You’ll need to be a communicative and collaborative team player, with a strong drive to continuously learn and improve.

OUR TEAM

The Digital Team is currently made up of 15 people and we’re responsible for the University’s main website.

We work across content, design (UI and UX), development (front- and back-end), and web analytics, using an Agile framework to organise and deliver much of our work.

We have a Smart Working Policy in the team that allows for significant hybrid working. Most of our communication and collaboration is now conducted online, via MS Teams, but we also have a central London office (near Oxford Street) that we share with colleagues from both our wider Global Recruitment, Admissions, Marketing and Communications department, as well as other Professional Services departments.
