This role is ideal for individuals with experience in drafting and negotiating the terms and conditions of a wide variety of commercial contracts, who thrive in a fast paced environment and who have a genuine interest in supporting the University’s world changing research.

Whilst a legal practice qualification is not an essential criteria for the role, we welcome applications from practising lawyers looking to develop their career in-house in a unique environment. Whilst the focus of the role is commercial contracts, there are opportunities to get involved in providing wider legal advice to the University.

You will ensure maximum benefit to the University whilst appropriately managing risk and intellectual property issues and ensuring compliance with legislation and University policies.

Furthermore, you will provide high quality legal advice and support to University staff on a wide range of matters. 

In the case of Senior Contracts Managers, you will support the strategic and operational management of the Legal & Contracts Team and to provide support, supervision and advice to solicitor and non-solicitor team members (including Trainee Solicitors).
