About the Abundance Project

Led by University of the Arts London and co-led by Kingston University, the Abundance Project addresses mental health disparities among Black, ethnic minority, and refugee communities in poorer Southwest London boroughs and other cities across the UK. These communities are at the greatest risk of poor mental health but are less likely to engage with cultural and green community assets or social prescribing. This 3-year research project, aims to develop ways for these communities to engage with assets such as galleries, museums, natural spaces and community groups, ultimately reducing mental health inequalities through a community-led approach.

The role

As the Project Administrator, you'll play a crucial role in ensuring the project stays on track. Responsibilities include providing support to the Primary Investigator, Primary Co-Investigator, and all co-investigators, academic and community alike. You'll liaise with communities and stakeholders, manage documentation for the funder, and develop project materials. Additionally, you'll handle logistical aspects such as booking spaces for workshops, coordinating meetings, managing expenses, and organising travel arrangements.

About you

You'll be an integral part of an enthusiastic and dynamic team of academic and community researchers dedicated to delivering impactful outcomes for underserved communities. Motivated by principles of equality, diversity, and inclusion, you'll be committed to maintaining high standards in project delivery.

Your organisational skills, coupled with a calm and efficient demeanour, will ensure successful collaboration with stakeholders while treating everyone with empathy and respect. Your contribution will be instrumental in developing a community-led model for social prescribing, addressing mental health inequalities in underserved communities.
