About the role

An enthusiastic and flexible individual is sought for a communications officer role. The main purpose of the role is to provide support to the Director’s EA in relation to IfWH communication and administration and impact activities. The duties and responsibilities involve assisting with the formatting and production of the monthly Director’s blog and helping to edit and maintain the Institute’s website and maintaining IfWH social media sites. You will be required to sit on the Institute Communications Committee and the Institute EDI Committee. The candidate will liaise with the Faculty Communications Leads and Committee as required. The candidate will also support with meetings and events including quarterly all staff meetings, annual conference and other ad hoc events. This will involve arranging room bookings, catering and event registration links. This role is an open-ended contract with an initial funding end date of 31 July 2025. About you

You must have experience of using web content management systems (CMS) and also using social media channels for marketing purposes. Experience and an interest in event management would be useful. You should be able to work independently and have excellent IT and administrative skills. Good interpersonal skills, being able to work unsupervised on occasion as well as being able to work as a part of a team are important.
