About the Role

This role is part of the Welfare and International Advice team, working alongside three Welfare Advisers, a Senior Welfare Adviser and two International Student Advisers, and is line managed by the Senior International Student Adviser.

About You

You will have substantial experience working with international students in higher education and be aware of the challenges they may encounter. You will be competent providing immigration advice and undertaking immigration casework for students up to OISC level 2. Excellent communication and presentation skills are essential.

About the Department

The Advice and Counselling Service is a multidisciplinary student support service offering counselling, mental health and psychological support, psychiatry clinics, sexual assault and harassment advice, welfare advice and immigration advice. The service is one of the constituent departments in the Directorate of Student Experience

The Advice and Counselling Service currently employs 42 staff plus a small number of counselling trainees and associates.
