Summary
Applications are invited for a Research Associate position available within the Centre for Cold Matter, a part of the Matter Community, to help produce independent and original research to measure the electron’s electric dipole moment using ultracold molecules.
Duties and responsibilities
You will be expected to plan and carry out research, write up results for publication and oral presentations, liaise with collaborators within and outside Imperial College, assist in the maintenance of lab facilities and the administration of the research team, and support research students. This project will involve a high degree of teamwork and interdisciplinary research.
Essential requirements
You must hold a PhD (or equivalent) in Experimental Physics or a closely related discipline.

*Candidates who have not yet been officially awarded their PhD will be appointed as Research Assistant within the salary range £40,694– £43,888 per annum.
The position is available for a period of 2 years from 1st June 2024.
The position may be extended if adequate funding is available.
