Do you have experience in marketing and communications, from creating dynamic content for social media and websites, to monitoring and reporting on campaigns across digital platforms? 

Are you able to create innovative ways of reaching and engaging with a range of target audiences in both the HE and commercial sectors?

If so, then this role as Marketing & Communications Coordinator may be ideal.

Join our dynamic marketing team as Marketing and Communications Coordinator where you will provide a high level of marketing and communications support across the Commercial Services and Estates departments, while ensuring that marketing objectives and KPIs are met. The departments cover a range of commercial services at the University of Kent, including student accommodation, conferences and events, Kent Sport, catering, housekeeping, as well as maintenance, security and other areas of Estates. 

You will need to be highly organised, creative and have a good understanding of all elements of marketing, from website management and social media, to print and production. You will help to ensure that digital marketing and communications plans are delivered to support a wide range of activity across the department and drive proactive growth of revenue from the sales of University facilities.

What we are looking for in the right candidate: 

Educated to A Level or equivalent experience, ideally in a relevant discipline and GCSE Maths and English (grade C/4 or above) or equivalent

Proficient level of understanding of digital and traditional marketing practices

Excellent communications skills with experience of creating compelling content for use across a wide range of platforms (online and offline)

Experience in all areas of marketing from creating content to conducting market research, monitoring, reporting, and use of associated systems

Experience of, and ability to manage own workload, prioritising tasks as appropriate to meet changing demands and deadlines

Good IT skills, particularly Microsoft Office packages, digital, event, email and advertising platforms

High level of attention to detail.
