Annual Leave: 25 days pro rata plus standard public holidays and an additional 4 days including the closure of our office between Christmas and New Year

Location: Bishops Square, Hatfield

The Finance Department is seeking a Finance and Insurance Administrator on a permanent, part time basis. This position is an integral part of the Finance function, reporting to the Group Finance Director.

Main duties and responsibilities

The successful post holder will support all office administration aspects of the UH Finance Team, including providing administrative support to the Group Finance Director, and take a lead role in the claims handling and insurance renewal/management of the whole UH Group. You will also organise events in line with our EDI & wellbeing objectives.

Skills and experience required

We are seeking someone who is organised, motivated and has a willing, flexible approach to support the team as required. You will also be computer literate with a good working knowledge of Microsoft applications, able to work with a high degree of accuracy and to prioritise tasks. Prior experience of working in an administration role and a claims handling role essential. In this post, it is also essential to have a positive attitude and be able to work to your own initiative. Possessing excellent interpersonal skills is also essential as the post holder will be interacting with staff across the University as well as external stakeholders.

Qualifications required

As a minimum you will have A-levels (or equivalent) qualifications or proven experience.
