About the role
Reporting to the Finance Operations Manager, the post-holder will manage a range of financial administrative activities in accordance with university financial controls. They will undertake transactional work across all modules in Oracle and compile financial reports for stakeholders and provide sound advice to staff and students regarding financial processes and controls.
The post-holder will be responsible for ensuring accurate reconciliation of accounts, managing purchasing activities, overseeing accounts receivable, and maintaining the general ledger and financial reporting. We seek a candidate who can start immediately.
Whilst this role is a grade 5 position, we would be willing to consider applications from suitably experienced candidates, for which the appointment would be at grade 4 (£28,437 - £32,108 p.a.) with the responsibilities adjusted accordingly. This would be discussed with applicants at interview/appointment where appropriate.
About you
You will have excellent communication, numeracy and team working skills, as well as confidence dealing with financial data and the ability to work independently.
You should have previous experience in Financial Administration, including interpreting financial policies and adhering to financial controls, and be proficient using Microsoft Office (particularly Excel).
A positive and flexible approach to work, along with a genuine desire to provide an excellent service to the School, are also essential.
