ABOUT THE POST  

This is an exciting collaboration between London Met’s Guildhall Business School and Mahogany to gain extraordinary experience transforming a fast-growing independent music business based in Shoreditch, London.  With the successful candidate, London Met and Mahogany are embarking on a forward-thinking Knowledge Transfer Partnership (KTP). The vision is to rapidly grow and extend the Mahogany brand as the music industry evolves, with an emphasis on international expansion.   

Our aim is to design and implement an informed, forward-thinking and effective managerial infrastructure to deliver on Mahogany’s global strategy. This individual, supported by London Met, will deploy focus, insight and relevant experience to meaningfully drive Mahogany forward as they scale into new and emerging markets delivering IP, revenue and growth as Mahogany continues to grow into a renowned global music brand, competing with the fastest growing businesses in the music industry. You’ll be supported by experienced academics at London Met as well as Mahogany’s own team of subject matter experts.   

Key objectives:   

  • benchmarking against comparable brands to identify best practice management techniques   
  • ensuring globalisation strategy is fit-for-purpose, sets realistic KPIs, and is achievable alongside BAU   
  • leveraging current business model to maximise cross-selling opportunities 
  • identifying new markets to create content and distribution channels, increasing sales and driving brand awareness globally   
  • planning for future growth opportunities, including Web 3.0 and AI  

£4,000 training and development package available.
