Fixed term for three years

Salary on appointment will be £36,333 per annum, with an annual increment up to £43,155 per annum (for appointment as Senior Research Associate)

Salary on appointment will be £45,737 per annum, with an annual increment up to £52,841 per annum (for appointment as Research Fellow)

We are seeking a highly motivated Senior Research Associate/Research Fellow based at the School of Computing Sciences at UEA to contribute to an ambitious research project focused on the development of machine-learning systems for the investigation of the role of inflammation and nutrition on the onset and progression of multiple long-term conditions. The work will be based on the analysis of large-scale longitudinal global health datasets including data from cohort studies, electronic health records and the commercial sector.

The successful candidate will work within a collaborative research culture to synthesise datasets, design and implement novel machine learning algorithms for risk prediction modelling and early detection, working collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team including statisticians, data scientists and clinicians.

This full-time post is available immediately on a fixed term basis for three years.
