The Opportunity:

Childlight, a global child safety institute, is looking for a Finance and Compliance Manager to ensure that our operations and business transactions follow all relevant legal, ethical, and internal rules. Your goal will be to ensure that Childlight operates in a legal, responsible, and ethical manner, whilst meeting our strategic objectives and external funders terms and conditions.

You will manage Childlight’s financial administration, as well as enhancing the quality of Childlight operations, through compliance to policies, adherence to standard operating procedures, and maintenance of a quality control framework.

This post is fixed-term until 30 April 2027 and full-time (35 hours per week), however, we are open to considering part-time or flexible working patterns. We are also open to considering requests for hybrid working (on a non-contractual basis) that combines a mix of remote (within the UK) and regular on-campus working. 

Your skills and attributes for success: 

• Qualified Chartered Accountant (e.g., CA, ACCA, CPFA, ACMA, CGMA) or equivalent
• Experience of managing large, complex budgets 
• Experience of gathering, analysing and presenting complex information to a senior audience
• Experience of business operations, finance, project management / control systems, and IT processes 
• A passion for making the world a better place and preventing CSEA, improving services and safeguarding children
