Job Summary
The Department of Classics, Ancient History and Archaeology at the University of Birmingham is seeking to appoint a Teaching Fellow in Ancient Greek History and Culture. We would especially welcome applicants with an existing research focus and experience of teaching courses relating to Ancient Greek history and culture. The appointee will likely contribute to modules such as Greek World, Understanding Ancient Cultures, Thinking Athenian, and supervise UG and PGT dissertations.
The successful candidate will gain experience working in a department with an international reputation for excellence in research and teaching. They will be supported to utilise, develop and customise existing course materials while bringing their own specialisms to core and team taught modules. As a member of the School and History and Cultures, the appointee will join a thriving community of early career scholars, and will be able to benefit from a range of career development opportunities within a leading Russell Group University.
