We have an exciting opportunity in the Information School at the University of Sheffield for an excellent Postdoctoral Researcher to work on a project funded by The Aortic Dissection Trust Charitable Trust (TADCT) ‘AORTA-AI: Rapid Acute Aortic Syndrome Diagnosis using Artificial Intelligence’ and on other health data science projects.
‘AORTA-AI: Rapid Acute Aortic Syndrome Diagnosis using Artificial Intelligence’ will develop a proof of concept machine learning model that can accurately predict AAS (Acute Aortic Syndrome) from routinely collected variables in existing data sets. The project is a collaboration between the University of Sheffield (Prof. Peter Bath; Prof. Steve Goodacre) and Leeds Teaching Hospitals (Dr. Jim Zhong, Interventional Radiologist) and other Universities. As a Postdoctoral Researcher working on this project you will develop, test and evaluate the machine learning models and will help to disseminate the findings through conference presentations and journal papers. You will also have the opportunity to work on other data analysis projects in consultation with Prof. Bath.
You will have – or be close to completing - a PhD (or equivalent) in health data science / data analytics, and you will have experience of using machine learning and statistical methods of analysis.
If you feel like you would be a good fit for the role, we would love to hear from you!
