It’s an exciting time to join Imperial College Business School where our mission is to drive global business and social transformation through the fusion of business, technology and an entrepreneurial mindset.  Our programmes are well-recognised: our MSc Finance and our MBA are both ranked 12th in Europe by the Financial Times, with our Global online MBA programme ranked 3rd in the world in the QS Online MBA ranking.  We have a clear vision to continue to progress in the global rankings for both our MSc and MBA programmes.  If you are committed to excellence, thrive in a culture of continuous improvement and are a strong team player we would welcome your application.

Duties and Responsibilities:
With a focus on providing targeted support in sectors and industries that our students aim to work in, this role will also be part of a sector team. As well as providing generalist careers support to students across all sectors, this role will provide specific expertise in one of the key sectors our students aspire to work in and will require knowledge/experience in at least one of these sectors (Consulting; Finance; Technology; Energy, Sustainability & Social Impact; FMCG, or Healthcare). Sector teams provide insights into recruitment trends and processes, typical pathways and labour market information within these industry sectors. You will also contribute to building the team’s knowledge in one of these sectors by updating resources and materials.

Essential Requirements:
You will be experienced in and passionate about career development.  You will either have experience in a University or Business School setting in providing careers advice, or significant recruitment experience, preferably in the graduate and/or experienced hire area and a qualification (or equivalent experience) in careers advising, coaching or mentoring.

The role will involve frequent contact with students online and in person, occasionally this may be outside of normal UK working hours, including evenings.

We offer:

  • Childcare provision and childcare support scheme
  • Discounted membership at College sport & leisure facilities
  • Minimum 39 days paid annual leave including public holidays & College Closures
  • Contributions towards the costs of a professional qualification and provision for study leave
  • Opportunity to enrol in lunchtime or evening classes from the Centre for Languages, Culture and Communication
  • Interest free travel loans to purchase an annual season ticket or bicycle loans
