This is an exciting opportunity to play a pivotal role shaping the student experience at London College of Communication, ensuring high-impact support for students that drives success from day one to graduation.
The Role
As Associate Dean of Student Journey, you will lead the student experience across the College, shaping and overseeing all wraparound academic and engagement support services to deliver an outstanding student experience that enhances learning, nurtures creativity, and helps students to develop as learners throughout their studies.
You will manage student-facing teams, champion the student voice, and work hand-in-hand with students and the Students’ Union to build a vibrant, responsive college community.
Through smart planning and collaboration, you will align college initiatives with university-wide goals and be the go-to expert on student success, using data, sector insight and innovation to continuously raise the bar.
You will provide strategic leadership to student support teams, and directly line manage the Student Learning and Engagement Team at the College while working in close collaboration with University-wide Student Services to ensure students receive a seamless and well-integrated support experience.
About you
You will have proven experience of leading academic or student facing support teams in a higher education context and will be able to demonstrate experience of student facing employability services and supporting excellent student outcomes.
A strong track record of delivering inclusive, high-impact support services across diverse student populations and the ability to deliver large-scale strategies or change programmes aligned to student engagement, success and wellbeing is equally important.
You will also be able to work cross-functionally with academic schools, student services, and senior stakeholders to deliver shared objectives, and will need an in-depth knowledge of trends, issues and regulatory frameworks in UK Higher Education.
