The Opportunity

As the longest standing landscape degree course in the United Kingdom, we are proud of our reputation and standing and as a group of academics and students with a common purpose we are now enjoying a new era whereby our international status is beginning to grow and develop. We now have an opportunity for an enthusiastic Landscape Architecture to join the team.

Sitting within the Architecture, Construction and Environment subject area you will be joining a team who brings together and harmonises conceptual and spatial design theories with a desire to provide our students with highly developed professional skills.  The modern landscape professional is very much cognisant of the past but is increasingly aware of the need to conduct subject and trans-disciplinary research.  The world is possibly faster moving now than at any time in the planet’s history.

We are looking for an individual who can deliver high quality teaching, learning and assessment in Landscape Architecture and design for undergraduate and postgraduate courses. You will also be  required to participate in the curriculum development of courses as well as carry out research and enterprise activity and to maintain a professional and research profile.

Individuals applying for this role will possess a future-focused approach and comprehensive understanding of contemporary industry practice, a good knowledge of sustainable working practices in landscape architecture, as well as experience and full understanding of the requirements of the industry. As such, this individual will be expected to work and contribute to maintain all aspects of professional course accreditation.

If you are interested in an informal conversation about the opportunity, please contact Bill Burford (wburford@glos.ac.uk) or Jamie Liversedge  (jliversedge@glos.ac.uk)
