About us
ODI (odi.org) is an independent, global think tank. We work to inspire people to act on injustice and inequality. Through research, convening and influencing, we generate ideas that matter for people and planet.
We are looking for a Senior Communications Officer to increase the impact and reach of ODI’s research and policy engagement on politics, political economy and governance through planning, coordination and delivery of first-class communications and public affairs activities.
About the Programme
ODI’s Politics and Governance Programme (PoGo) brings together global leaders in political economy analysis, who use evidence-based, applied research, analysis and advice to policy makers, to understand how and why politics and political systems work the way they do, how power, structures, institutions, norms, and ideas matter, and how these shape prospects for building a social contract and advancing progressive change at global and local levels. The Politics and Governance team leads ODI’s critical work on Conflict, Fragility & Peacebuilding, Democracy, Justice, Human Rights and the Rule of Law; Digital Societies, Technology, AI and the Future of Work and the decolonisation of production of knowledge in International Development. The team also provides political economy analytical support to ODI’s different thematic teams (Development and Public Finance, Gender, Equity and Social Policy, Humanitarian Policy, Climate and Sustainability).
This role is responsible for the planning, coordination and delivery of all communications and public affairs activities for ODI’s Politics and Governance (PoGo) programme, in line with ODI’s strategic objectives and PoGo’s strategy as agreed upon with the PoGo’s Director of Programme.
