About the Role
The post holder will work as part of the team responsible for research management and governance for Stage 1 and Stage 2 Genes & Health studies and have a focus on quality assurance ensuring that the studies are conducted in compliance with the protocol, overall study objectives, International Council for Harmonisation (ICH), Good Clinical Practice and Genes & Health and QMUL SOPs, all run accordingly to agreed timelines. Genes&Health is a bioresource for the South Asian community and currently undergoing rapid expansion with new recruiting across England and bespoke recall studies. The Deputy Study Manager will ensure the success of this expansion both logistically and under correct research governance execution.
About You
You will be educated to a first degree (or equivalent) with excellent knowledge of Good Clinical Practice (GCP) and relevant research regulations and legislations. You will have significant experience of study set-up, conducting feasibility & sites assessments to ensure timely expansion of new recruiting sites under correct governance framework and provide relevant training. Experience of study management is essential .
About the Institute
The Blizard Institute was established in 2003 and is one of six Institutes within the Faculty of Medicine and Dentistry. The Institute comprises approximately 360 staff based in four academic Centres and one Public Engagement Centre and supports a combined total of c700 postgraduate research and taught students. The Institute aims to deliver excellence in all aspects of research, teaching and clinical service.
